This letter concerns the proposal by local Olympia developers to build large, high rise buildings right next to Budd Inlet in downtown Olympia.
Currently there is a lot of land downtown that is zoned for these high rise buildings.
But historically we have left the land that is next to the saltwater open, so that many people, the general public, can enjoy the beautiful view of our Puget Sound. I hope that the Olympia City Council I does not give in to these developers.
I hope that the City Council does not allow high rise buildings right next to the water.
I hope that the Olympia City Council cares about our entire population, not just the ones with lots of money who can afford to build these high rise buildings.
Lee Rimmer, Olympia
